Today we played in the snow. What better way is there to start Advent and the "real" run up to Christmas? As we played I thought of a couple of my favourite Christmas songs...
Dashing through the snow
In a one horse open sleigh
O'er the fields we go
Laughing all the way
Bells on bob tails ring
Making spirits bright
What fun it is to laugh and sing
A sleighing song tonight
Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
And the other song that was going through my mind was;
Oh the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
And since we've no place to go
Let It Snow!
Let It Snow!
Let It Snow!
It doesn't show signs of stopping
And I've bought some corn for popping
The lights are turned way down low
Let It Snow!
Let It Snow!
Let It Snow!
What a lot of fun! And now the fire is bright and the outside is cold, we are going to watch a Christmassy movie on the projector.
Also today the Advent Elf came to visit!
We ring a bell and he appears somewhere in the house and brings a gift with him everyday.
But when he is here you must be extra careful to behave the best you can, because he moves around the house watching so he can let Santa know if you have been good or bad..... so as they say you'd better watch out..... he see's you when your sleeping and well he knows when your awake!
